Season 2: Buildings for people

Phoebe and Tom speak with Rachael De’ath, a senior structural engineer at Arup, who also lectures part-time at the University of Bristol. In June 2018, Rachael was announced as one of the Telegraph’s ‘Top 50 Women in Engineering’.

We discuss the excitement that Rachael feels when working on projects improve the lives of ordinary people, the skills that engineers learn in industry after their time at university, and her thoughts on the best way to inspire the next generation of engineering leaders.
